A thousand years ago, the way of the world were described thusly.
'The sound of the Gion Shoja bells echoes the impermanence of all things;
The color of the sala flowers reveals the truth that all glories must fade.
The proud do not endure, they are like a dream on a spring night;
The mighty fall at last, they are as dust before the wind.'
Everything in existence,
All shape and essence are in a constant state of change,
A churn that ceases not for even the briefest moment.
Even if the flow itself is invisible,
All things and circumstances that surround us move in concert with it.
Even if the flow itself is invisible,
All things and circumstances that surround us move in concert with it.
This very moment right now is a short-lived gift.
Let's say our lives are like a celluloid animation.
There are 24 pictures in one second.
Take any one image out, there will never be another one exactly like it.
This artwork is one such frame plucked from a longer sequence.
Zoom down the the lowest level of a pixel, all meaning is stripped away,
leaving dust motes of data.
A single scene of just one moment in the life of data
Is thrown in sharp relief

In the briefest of flashes, each discrete instant holds a trace and proof of something that existed.
